Ekbladet Editor in Chief
The newspaper started in 1983 and has a good reputation around the University. Ekbladet is HHUS foremost communications channel today. The magazine comes out four times a year, twice in the fall and twice in the spring with approximately 1400-1800 copies printed.
Today, Ekbladet boasts the following: contact with a number of advertisers, a printing press, an editorial staff consisting of 8-10 people as well as Indesign and Photoshop software.
The Editor in Chief is in charge of advertising, contact with companies as well as developing the concept of “Ekbladet.” The Editor in Chief and the Managing Editor work closely together in order to achieve this. The Editor in Chief works on the external portion, gathering information that is then given to the Managing Editor. Together they divide the work and arrange who will do specifically what. However, it is the Editor in Chief’s responsibility for the production of the paper, contact with the printing press as well as delivery of the paper.
The Editor in Chief belongs to the marketing committee and is a part of the editorial staff.
Editor in Chief is a management position and is appointed by the HHUS board, preceded by an application and interview. The Editor in Chief is responsible for the printing of the paper as well as delivery to members of HHUS and partners.
